President Trump’s eldest son, Donald Trump Jr., has tested positive for COVID-19, Bloomberg first reported Friday evening.
Trump Jr. tested positive at some point earlier in the week, according to Bloomberg, and he claims to be asymptomatic. He is currently quarantining.
Trump Jr.’s infection comes a little over two weeks after President Trump held a packed Election Night event in the wee hours of the morning at the White House, where the President declared premature and false victory. A number of attendees of the event have since tested positive for COVID-19. Don Jr., of course, was there.
As the coronavirus rages across the country, there also appears to be a COVID outbreak in the halls of Congress. Sen. Rick Scott (R-FL) on Friday announced that he had tested positive for COVID-19, making him at least the sixth lawmaker this week to catch it.
NBC also confirmed the news.
