The Department of Justice will give congressional leaders the chance to view a less-redacted version of special counsel Robert Mueller’s report starting next week, according to a letter from Assistant Attorney General Stephen Boyd.
The letter was sent to Senate Judiciary Committee Chairman Lindsey Graham (R-SC) and House Judiciary Committee Chairman Jerry Nadler (D-NY) on Thursday and said Attorney General William Barr would allow both the chairmen and ranking members of those committees, the “Gang of Eight” and a staffer for each lawmaker to read a different version of the report in a secure room at the Justice Department.
The reading of the less-redacted document will be available to the lawmakers from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. starting Monday until April 26. The same document will also be held in secure rooms for reading at the Capitol throughout the week of April 29.
The grand jury information will still be redacted.
