Raffi Krikorian, the chief technology officer for the DNC, is stepping down from his role after two years of working to shore up security and prevent hacks like those in 2016 from plaguing the organization again.
According to a Thursday Buzzfeed News report, under Krikorian’s regime, the DNC brought data operations in-house, taught chairman Tom Perez to use encrypted messaging and forced state parties to update their security systems and institute phishing drills.
He and his team have also reportedly been training the large and growing field of Democratic candidates on how to protect their campaigns from hacks.
