New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo (D) is making an all-out attempt to bring Amazon back to the city, even lobbying founder Jeff Bezos personally, according to a Thursday New York Times report.

Amazon has reportedly shown no signs of budging, despite Cuomo’s urging and a letter to be published in the Times signed by local business leaders and lawmakers.

The group is arguing that a majority of New Yorkers did want the Long Island City, Queens, campus to be constructed and that a small but vocal minority just voiced their opposition more loudly.
