President-elect Joe Biden is slated to receive his first presidential daily briefing on Monday, his transition team announced on Sunday night.
Vice President-elect Kamala Harris will also receive the briefing, then both she and Biden will meet with transition advisers afterward, according to aides.
The announcement came after President Donald Trump, who continues to falsely deny that he lost the election, finally allowed his rival to begin the transition process last week.
A few Republican senators had urged Trump administration to grant Biden access to classified intel, though many of them still refuse to recognize Biden as president-elect.
