Former congressman Beto O’Rourke was asked multiple times about former Vice President Joe Biden while embarking on his packed first weekend of campaign events in Iowa.

According to a Sunday Politico report, he kept to his positive campaign promise, saying that “we’d be very lucky to have Vice President Biden in this race.”

“I think he’s done an extraordinary job for this country as senator and as vice president,” he added. “I think very highly of him.”

He later expanded on the topic of vice presidents in general.

“I feel, three days in, it’s presumptuous for me to think about who I would select as a vice president,” he said. “But as I also said to someone inside, it would be very difficult not to select a woman with so many extraordinary women who are running right now.”
