Attorney General William Barr is scheduled to appear before the House Appropriations Committee Tuesday ostensibly for the Justice Department’s budget, but also giving House Democrats their first change to grill him on his handling of the Mueller report.
According to Politico, chairwoman Nita Lowey (D-NY) also intends to ask Barr about his 2018 memo in which he called Special Counsel Robert Mueller’s report “fatally misconceived.”
Barr will also likely be flanked by protesters on the Hill, as advocates clamor for the public release of the full report.
