Health and Human Services (HHS) Secretary Alex Azar said on Monday that the general adult population in the U.S. will have access to the COVID-19 vaccine by mid-2021.
“Yes, by the second quarter of next year,” Azar replied when Axios reporter Mike Allen asked if the vaccine will be “widely available” to “any adult” in the country by spring.
“My expectation is that next year we return to normalcy in our lives thanks to the incredible work of Operation Warp Speed and these vaccines,” the Trump official added.
