Rep. Justin Amash (R-MI) responded to special counsel Robert Mueller’s press conference on Wednesday by echoing his push for Congress to take action against President Donald Trump.
“The ball is in our court, Congress,” Amash tweeted in response to Mueller’s statement that he couldn’t charge President Donald Trump with a crime because Justice Department guidelines prevent him from doing so.

Republican National Committee chair Ronna McDaniel later took a swipe at Amash.
“You’re right, Justin. Instead of grandstanding, there’s a LOT of work Congress (you) can do,” McDaniel tweeted.
You're right, Justin. Instead of grandstanding, there's a LOT of work Congress (you) can do.
You can start with:
*ratifying #USMCA
*funding border security
*merit-based immigration reform
*an infrastructure bill
*passing legislation to lower drug priceshttps://t.co/Kpvs9n6hJZ— Ronna McDaniel (@GOPChairwoman) May 29, 2019
Amash stands out as the sole Republican in Congress who has called for impeachment proceedings against Trump after Mueller’s report showed repeated attempts by Trump to obstruct his investigation.
