What To Expect Tuesday
- Once the Senate has adopted the impeachment rules resolution that was announced Monday evening, it will move forward with a four hour debate over the constitutionality of the impeachment proceeding.
- The debate time will be split evenly between Trump’s legal team and the House impeachment managers’ team.
- There will then be a Senate vote on the question.
- If a majority of the chamber finds the proceedings constitutional, the trial will be allowed to advance to its next stage.
